Senior Vice President - Dallas Office
Mr. Courtney joined Stephens in 2005. He
is a member of the Power & Resource Solutions group and is
responsible for subsector coverage of Retail Energy, Energy
Efficiency, and Energy Infrastructure. Most recently, Mr.
Courtney was a Vice President at AXA Financial, where he was a
member of the Industrials group for three years. Previously,
he spent five years in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group of Banc
of America Securities and its predecessor firm, NationsBanc
Montgomery Securities. Mr. Courtney has completed more than
40 transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, exclusive
sales, fairness opinions, public offerings, private placements,
leveraged buyouts and minority investments. His experience
covers international and domestic, public and private companies.
Mr. Courtney received his BBA with honors from Oklahoma State
University with a concentration in finance and accounting.
Additionally, he was distinguished as a Top Ten Graduate and
Outstanding Young Alumni of the university. Mr. Courtney has
been certified by the Association of Energy Engineers as a
Certified Energy Procurement Professional.
